About SW ArtsFest

​History

In September 2011, SW ArtsFest brought together ten different organizations for a 3-day arts festival. The first annual SW ArtsFest included hand dancing at Arena Stage, the (e)merge art fair, a jazz festival, a film festival, a church musical showcase, walking tours, folk concerts, flea markets, food, and, on the Southwest Waterfront, an art market and a sock-monkey art studio. In 2014, SW ArtsFest will celebrate its fourth year and will bring the community together once again by promoting all that South West has to offer in the arts.

SW ArtsFest is an annual multi-dimensional Arts Festival with a main goal to attract metro region residents and tourists to Southwest Washington, DC by celebrating and promoting the abundance of arts and cultural offerings that exist in this waterfront community.
